I’ve been wanting to organize my closet better, and I figure now is as good a time as any to really start planning. I won’t actually be able to start for a couple months, but I like picturing things in my head first anyway. I’m going for all white furnishings, and I really like what ClosetMaid puts out.
First thing - I love benches (I often stalk TJ Maxx for cute benches to place randomly around our apartment). Now this isn’t the cutest bench, but it has spots for storage bins, and I can always buy a cuter cushion for it at Carolina Pottery or TJ Maxx or somewhere.
The most difficult part to narrow down is the shelving and organization units. Here are my options, and whatever I do get, I just want to make sure they’re stackable. They don’t necessarily need to be the same width either, because whatever extra space is left on the side I’m sure I can turn it into a cubby space for small accessories or something.
Four white ITSO cubes, because I want to make all my organizers white, I can keep my red baskets I have for my black ITSO cubes (and move those cubes to the guest room), and the cubes are nice and big for my purses.
And I want at least one of these cute polka dot bins from ITSO.
I think I want one of these 2 cube organizers, because the squares are bigger, have a back board, and the dimensions match the other pieces I want from ClosetMaid.
There’s also this one, but Target’s website doesn’t give dimensions for it.

ClosetMaid 3 drawer organizer from Target. This would be good for lingerie and small accessories. And I would put this right beside it (their dimensions are identical).

ClosetMaid 2-door organizer $25 from Target. This would be good for shoes, because I could jam them all in there and then cover the mess by closing the doors, haha.
ClosetMaid 2-drawer stackable storage $40 from Target. I’d probably get one or two of these. Good for shoes, purses or clothes.
This one is really nice, I like the handles:

Loft Collection 4-drawer chest $100 from Walmart

ClosetMaid cube with 2 drawers (currently sold out) and this would be perfect for small things! Here is the one without drawers:
This is actually meant to be a nightstand in a child’s bedroom so I probably won’t buy it (too big for my closet) but I like the idea of splitting the top shelf up with 2 bins:

Love this corner shelf:
ClosetMaid 4-Shelf 11.5” White Corner Laminate Storage
Definitely getting one of these, too. Only $10 from Walmart.
I like this one since the second bar, you’re able to adjust the height. $22 at Walmart.
NOW. All those shelves would be for my purses, accessories and clothes. Let’s get to the shoes. I love the fact that these are stackable, and would probably accommodate my stilettos well:

Stackable shoe cabinet $23 from Walmart
I like that you can “hide” your shoes here, but I don’t know if all my stilettos would fit in it.
$90 from Walmart
Rubbermaid Configurations Tie and Belt Organizer $16 from Target (online only!)
I NEED dividers. My clothes on the wire shelving are always spilling into one another:

Spectrum Diversified Closet Organization Small Ventilated 3 Pack Shelf Divider $21 from Walmart
Here are some more options for dividers: http://www.spacesavers.com/Storage/Shelf-Organizers.
I want a cute step stool for my closet, to get to the top shelf. This one isn’t the cutest, I could probably find something better at TJ Maxx, and cheaper, but I like the idea of it being able to store things in it. I’d probably put extra shoe laces in it for my sneakers or something, haha.

Guidecraft step up storage $42 from Walmart
And last, but not least, our tiny walk-in doesn’t really have the setting for a mini chandelier, but whatever. I think they’re awesome, and Urban Outfitters usually has some cute ones.
Someone is selling this cute lamp for $25, but it’s a plug in. I don’t think our closet has any outlets in it.
ADORABLE over the door bird hanger by UO. I’m not sure my closet doors are wide enough for this though.
Over the door vanity station! I could hang belts and wristlets on this.
Now for some IKEA products that look good, but aren’t roomy enough:
- Woke up early enough to make coffee before heading to the hospital.
- Snuck into the off-limits parking garage to snag a good spot for once.
- Cracked up with my patients and made them laugh.
- Actually felt like I made a difference in their quality of care.
- Caught up with my cousin & got hilarious…
